Three Corners of Europe
Black Forest, Alsace and Switzerland
These photos are from a small-group guided tour operated by European Castles Tours. Black Forest, Alsace and
Switzerland: Three Corners' Castles, Magnificent Scenery and Wine explores the region where the Rhine forms boundaries between
Germany, France, and Switzerland.
We toured castles in France's Alsace (Haut-Kroemigsbourg) and in Germany's Black Forest (Hohenzollern and Lichtenstein). We visited picturesque little villages along the Alsation Wine Route, as well as Strasbourg, Colmar, and Freiburg. Then on past the Rhine Falls and into Switzerland to explore around Lucerne, including a trip to the top of Mount Pilatus.
Following the tour I stayed on in Switzerland around Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland. Pictures from that are presented separately on the Switzerland pages.
